Hello Viper Vanguard Family
It was great to get a week that had good weather, good rehearsals, and a great performance at the football game on Friday! This looks to be another great week with a lot on our plate as we approach the homestretch to our marching season!
The schedule this week:
- Tuesday- Marching Band 5:30-8:30
- Wednesday- Marching Band 2:30-5:30
- Friday- Football game (Senior night AND middle school night)
- Saturday- BOA Volunteering at Camping World Stadium
PROCEDURE CHANGE
We are doing pre-orders differently this week. STUDENTS WHO WOULD LIKE TO PRE ORDER SHOULD BRING THEIR $6 ON TUESDAY and GIVE THEIR ORDER AND THEIR MONEY TO MS. D’ALESSIO AT THE END OF REHEARSAL IN THE BAND ROOM. There will be no google form this week.
Friday’s game will be VERY busy as we have both senior night festivities and middle school students from Southwest, Freedom and Westridge attending the game. Here is the schedule:
- 2:45- Short rehearsal on lot/field
- 3:30- Rehearsal concludes
- 3:45- Dinner break (food provided this week)
- 4:15- Senior Gifts/thank you (at meal)
- 5:00- Get into uniform
- 5:30- Head to stadium for senior night
- 6:15- Meet and greet with middle school students
- 7:00- Kickoff
- 10:00- approx dismissal
There are a few things in this schedule that are different. Notably, we will provide a meal this week to save time and allow time for our seniors to be recognized by the band before the official senior night recognition at the field.
PARENTS/ESCORTS FOR SENIORS- You need to be at the stadium for senior night by 5:30. The band will be recognized after football, cheer and athletic trainers.
BOA VOLUNTEERS ON SATURDAY
Thank you for signing up for times. We could still use a little more help from students during the day. If you volunteer, I will have parking passes for you this week that will get you into the volunteer lot with is located off south street on the east side of the stadium. Volunteer check in will be on the Southeast corner of the stadium, where it was last year. If you are dropping a student off for volunteering, you should not need a pass.
FUNDRAISER
Keep sharing the Instaraise fundraiser link. We are now over $8,000 raised for the program. That is great, we are a little more than halfway to our goal! The fundraiser will conclude in a couple weeks so let’s make one final push!
NEXT WEEK is MPA week!
We perform at 12:40 in the afternoon at Boone HS for Marching MPA. That will be a great chance to get a really good view of the band. We are the 3rd band on at MPA and would love to see a TON of LBV support in the stands!! I will share more information in next week’s email about the event.

- Saturday- Marching MPA at Boone HS, Performance at 12:40pm
FFCC Marching Band Finals are on November 9th at West Orange HS.
It is a prelims/finals show. Our preliminary performance time is around 3pm. They will take the top 6 scoring bands from our class into finals. I will share ticket information and more as we approach the event in a couple of weeks! That will be our final marching performance weekend of the year!
The kids are doing great. Mr. Emmert and I both appreciate everyone’s help and support this season! We can’t do this without all of your help.
