Hello Viper Family!
I hope this email finds you well as we prepare for the month of September! Typically this is when we begin to fall into our routine and see a ton of growth both in the marching show and in classes. Fortunately, most of the “standard” band classes are now settled with schedules and students are, for the most part, in the correct band class.
Last Friday the band did a great job a the Colonial game. Unfortunately the field conditions didn’t allow for us to march the halftime show, as there was a significant amount of standing water and mud on the field. We were able to perform a standstill and received very enthusiastic responses and compliments from everyone. It was a nice debut performance! The kids also brought a ton of energy in the stands!
This Friday we play at home against University. The schedule is below:
PEP RALLY BEFORE SCHOOL- RED SHIRT
- 2:40- Rehearsal in Stadium
- 4:00- Rehearsal concludes- break for dinner
- 5:30- Meet in band room, get into uniform
- 6:15- Cadence to stadium
- 7:00- Kickoff
- 8:15- Approximate Halftime Performance
- 9:30- Approximate end of game
- 10:15- Approximate Dismissal
Times are of course subject to change based on weather.
Here is the pre-order form for this week’s game. If you ordered and paid for the Cypress Creek game, please indicate on the form so we can credit you for this meal. IF YOU FILL OUT A FORM, YOU ARE COMMITTING TO BUY THE MEAL. We have had people fill out the form then decide last minute they don’t want to eat however, the food must be prepared in advance.
We are on our usual rehearsal schedule this week, Tuesday 5:30-8:30 and Wednesday 2:30-5:30.
