Hello Viper Vanguard Family!
I hope this email finds you well! Thank you to all who came out to Oviedo HS on Saturday and watched the band perform. The kids gave a wonderful performance and we were so pleased with how they persevered through some electronics issues. We were able to win best Color Guard and Best Music in our class and second place overall. That is a testament to our strong performing skills!!
Once again a huge thank you to the parent chaperones who continue to come through big time helping the kids, directors and staff out each event! We can’t do this without help from the parents and it has been great having such support from the chaperones this year. Thank you as well to the few parents and family members who helped Mr. Emmert and I unload the trucks when we got back on Saturday. That helps speed up the dismissal process and, frankly, the kids deserve that little perk of not having to unload the truck when they get back from a long day!!
For right now, the plan for the week is to be back on our normal schedule however, it looks like mother nature might have different plans.
For now, here is the schedule for the week:
- Tuesday- Marching Band 5:30-8:30
- Wednesday- Marching Band 2:30-5:30
There is a football game on Thursday however, we will not travel to the game. It is on a school night and is some distance from school to begin with.
As always, if there are any schedule adjustments I will let you know via email and on the parent remind.
FUNDRAISER: We are off to a great start on our Instaraise fundraiser. As I type this email we have around $5000 raised! That is great for 4 days into the fundraiser. Remember, every student has their own fundraiser page and that can be shared on social media platforms. Many have already had a lot of success sharing on facebook! The goal is $15,000 raised by the end of October. We can do it!!
Have a great week and stay safe!!
