What is it?

This contest allows Viper Vanguard participants to create a show-themed T-shirt that will be produced for all Viper Vanguard performers and available for distribution and purchase through the Viper Vanguard Boosters.

Who is eligible to participate?

All Viper Vanguard student performers (i.e., instrumentalists, color guard).

What details do I need to know about the design artwork I create?

  • All artwork must be original and created by you in its entirety.
  • Artwork should not exceed dimensions of 11″ x 11″.
  • Artwork should be in one or two colors (this is for the ink color(s) printed on top of the t-shirt’s base color).
  • Vector artwork is preferred.
  • Raster images will be accepted for consideration, provided they have a resolution of 300 dpi at 100%.
  • Hand-drawn artwork is not recommended; in the instance of hand-drawn artwork, a clear photo should be uploaded for your submission.
  • The color palette for the show includes LBV’s colors:
    • Columbia Blue: Pantone PMS 659C, CMYK 51-26-0-0
    • Scarlet Red: Pantone PMS 186C, CMYK 2-100-85-6
    • Black: Pantone Black, CMYK 50-50-100-100
    • White: Pantone White, CMYK 0-0-0-0 

When do I need to submit my design?

EXTENDED TO SUNDAY, JULY 28, 2024 by 11:59 PM. Designs submitted after this designated time will not be considered for voting.

How is the winner determined?

On Monday, July 29, student performers will be given a link to vote on the design they like best. The design with the most votes by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024, will be determined to be the winning design.

How will the winner be announced?

The design winner will be announced at the Preview Show on Friday, August 2, 2024.

What does the winner get?

The winner will be presented with their framed design and a generous prize from the Viper Vanguard Boosters.
