Summer is here and if you are anything like me, you are ready!! I am also very excited to get started on next year’s edition of the Viper Vanguard!!
Things are looking incredible as we begin the process of teaching and learning our new show production, continue traditions and start new ones. The process will begin officially on Wednesday May 29th for our Mini-Camp and Registration day, which will be from 9am-1pm here at LBV. Students who are in town should be at this event! We will get a start on learning the new show, begin uniform fittings, check out summer instruments, and more. There is a chance that our visual designer, who lives out of state, will also be in to take a look at the group before we begin to write the drill!
Attached to the email you will find an instrument rental form. If you plan to check out a school owned instrument for summer to take home I need you to print out the form and sign it where it says parent signature. I will complete the rest. Rental fees for summer are $25 per instrument and can be paid on school pay. Examples of summer instrument rentals would be tubas, baritones, large saxophones, mellophones, French horn etc. If you play a smaller instrument and need a school owned instrument, PLEASE TELL ME so that I can try to make arrangements. I might need to find more instruments this summer.
Information on physical and ecg completion are on the website now at www.lbvvanguard.org. You will notice an athletic clearance tab now at the top of the page. If you have any questions please let me know! The home campus portal will open on June 1 for uploads for the next school year. Remember the physical information needs to be up to date before camp begins on July 22.
